Anti-SERPINH1, CT (Serpin H1, Collagen-binding Protein, Colligin, 47kD Heat Shock Protein, Rheumatoi

SERPINH1 is a member of the serpin superfamily of serine proteinase inhibitors. Its expression is induced by heat shock. The protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum lumen and binds collagen, thus it is thought to be a molecular chaperone involved in the maturation of collagen molecules. Autoantibodies to this protein have been found in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:50-1:100, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
