Anti-Semaphorin 5A (Semaphorin F, Sema F, SEMA5A, SEMAF)

Members of the semaphorin protein family, such as Semaphorin 5A, are involved in axonal guidance during neural development. Semaphorin 5A acts as a bifunctional guidance cue, exerting both attractive and inhibitory effects on developing axons of the fasciculus retroflexus (FR), a diencephalon fiber tract associated with limbic function. Neuronal responses to Semaophorin 5A are dependent on the bound proteoglycan and the biologic context. Mammalian plexin B3 is a high-affinity Semaphorin 5A receptor. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
