Anti-Secretory Leukocyte Protease Inhibitor (SLPI), Biotin conjugated

Human Secretory Leukocyte Protease Inhibitor SLPI is a protein found in various secretory fluids, including parotid secretions, bronchial, nasal and cervical mucus, and seminal fluid. The protein is a potent inhibitor of a variety of proteolytic enzymes, including the neutrophil proteases, elastase and cathepsin G and the pancreatic proteases chymotrypsin and trypsin. SLPI is an important component of the antiprotease defense of tissues bathed by secretory fluids and could be useful as a therapeutic agent for treatment of the proteolytic damage of tissues seen in degenerative and inflammatory diseases. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. , Recommended Dilution:, Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human SLPI. The detection limit for rhSLPI is ~1ng/lane and 5ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions, respectively. , , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
