Anti-p53 (Tumor Suppressor Protein, Oncogene Protein), mixed clones, clone 3F305

p53 is a tumor suppressor gene expressed in a wide variety of tissue types and is involved in regulating cell growth, replication, and apoptosis. It binds to mdm2, SV40 T antigen and human papilloma virus E6 protein p53 senses DNA damage and possibly facilitating repair. Mutation involving p53 is found in a wide variety of malignant tumors, including breast, ovarian, bladder, colon, lung, and melanoma. Applications and Recommended Dilutions: Immunoprecipitation (Native and denatured): (Use Protein A, Ab at 2ug/mg protein lysate) , Western Blot: (0.5-1ug/ml for 2hrs at RT) , Immunohistochemistry: (Formalin/paraffin) (Use Ab at 1-2ug/ml for 30 minute at RT) * [Staining of formalin/paraffin tissues is ENHANCED by boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.] The optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined by the investigator. Positive Control: MDA-231, SKBR-3 cells or Colon carcinoma. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
