Anti-NMDA R2A

Anti-NMDA R2A antibody is directed against NMDA R2A protein. The antibody was prepared from monospecific neat serum. Anti-NMDA R2A antibodies exhibit no reactivity towards the NR2B and NR2C subunits. Immunolabeling is blocked by pre-adsorption of the antibody with the fusion protein used to generate the antibody. Reactivity is reported to occur with rat, mouse and human. Protein function: NMDA receptor subtype of glutamate-gated ion channels possesses high calcium permeability and voltage-dependent sensitivity to magnesium.
