Anti-Interleukin 33 Propeptide (IL-33, C9orf26, DKFZp586H0523, DVS27, IL1F11, IL-1F11, Interleukin-1

IL-33, also known as NF-HEV and DVS 27, is an IL-1 family member that is constitutively expressed in smooth muscle and airway epithelia and is upregulated by IL-1 alpha or beta in arterial smooth muscle, dermal fibroblasts and keratinocytes. IL-33 is synthesized as a 266aa, 32kD proform that localizes to the nucleus and may regulate gene transcription. Cleavage generates mature IL-33 as an 18kD C-terminal proinflammatory fragment which binds IL-1 R4/ST2 on Th2 and mast cells. Mature mouse IL-33 shares 55% and 90% amino acid sequence identity with human and rat IL-33, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml, Detection limit for rmIL-33 is ~5ng/well., Western Blot: 2ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, PBS. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
