0.5mg/ml if reconstituted with 0.2ml sterile DI water. IKBKG (Inhibitor of kappa light polypeptide gene enhancer in B cells, kinase of, gamma) is also known as NEMO. The IKK complex is composed of IKKalpha, IKKbeta, and 2 other polypeptides of 50 and 52 kD which are differentially processed forms of a third subunit, IKK gamma. The 419-amino acid IKK gamma protein is composed of several potential coiled-coil motifs and a leucine zipper motif. It interacts with IKK2(IKKbeta), but not with IKK1(IKKalpha). IKK-gamma forms dimers and trimers and interacts preferentially with IKKbeta. Protein function: Regulatory subunit of the IKK core complex which phosphorylates inhibitors of NF-kappa-B thus leading to the dissociation of the inhibitor/NF-kappa-B complex and ultimately the degradation of the inhibitor (PubMed:9927690). Its binding to scaffolding polyubiquitin plays a key role in IKK activation by multiple signaling receptor pathways. Can recognize and bind both 'Lys- 63'-linked and linear polyubiquitin upon cell stimulation, with a much highr affinity for linear polyubiquitin. Could be implicated in NF- kappa-B-mediated protection from cytokine toxicity. Essential for viral activation of IRF3. Involved in TLR3- and IFIH1-mediated antiviral innate response, this function requires 'Lys-27'-linked polyubiquitination. [The UniProt Consortium]
