Anti-GFAP Antibody was purified from concentrated tissue culture supernate by Protein G chromatography. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with rat and mouse based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with GFAP-R416W and other GFAP mutant proteins can be expected. Protein function: GFAP, a class-III intermediate filament, is a cell- specific marker that, during the development of the central nervous system, distinguishes astrocytes from other glial cells.
