Anti-CD8 beta, clone 6A240

The beta chain of the rat CD8 cell surface antigen is expressed on thymocytes and peripheral cytotoxic/suppressor cells. CD8 beta is not expressed by NK cells or by intestinal intraepithelial T cells. Reported to block proliferative and cytotoxic responses of CD8 +ve effector cells in vitro. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:100-1:200. Use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul., Optimal dilution determined by the researcher, Hybridoma: X63-Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Recommended Secondary Reagents: I1904-06F IgG, H&L (FITC) (X-Adsorbed)(rat adsorbed) Pab GtxMo, Recommended Negative Controls: I1904-78Y: IgG1, Murine Negative Control (For rat tissue), Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
