Anti-CD11a (CD11A, CD11 Antigen-Like Family Member A, Integrin alpha-L, Leukocyte Adhesion Glycoprot

Human CD11a (alpha L integrin) complexes with CD18 (beta 2 integrin) to form the LFA-1 heterodimer adhesion molecule which binds to three ICAM's 1, 2, and 3, also designated CD54, CD102, and CD50 respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Functional Application: Antibody Blocking: blocks binding of ICAM-1 and ICAM-3 to LFA-1 at 5-10ug/ml (7). Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 5x10e5 cultured HPB-MLT human tumor cells were washed and incubated 45 min on ice with 80ul of anti-CD11a antibody at 5ug/ml. Cells were washed twice and incubated with Goat anti-Mouse IgG/FITC, after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.28 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG2a negative control at a similar concentration., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
