Anti-CALD1, ID (Caldesmon, CDM, CAD, CALD1)

CALD1 is a calmodulin- and actin-binding protein that plays an essential role in the regulation of smooth muscle and nonmuscle contraction. The conserved domain of this protein possesses the binding activities to Ca(2+)-calmodulin, actin, tropomyosin, myosin, and phospholipids. This protein is a potent inhibitor of the actin-tropomyosin activated myosin MgATPase, and serves as a mediating factor for Ca(2+)-dependent inhibition of smooth muscle contraction. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1000, Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:50, Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:50, Western Blot: 1:50-1:100, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
