Anti-BRCA1 (Breast Cancer Type 1 Susceptibility Protein, RING Finger Protein 53, RNF53)

Associated with several familial cancers, including breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and prostate cancer. The cumulative lifetime risk of breast cancer for women who carry mutations in BRCA1 is approximately 92%, while the cumulative lifetime risk for noncarriers is estimated to be 10%. BRCA1 and BRCA2 participate together in a pathway (or pathways) associated with the activation of double-strand break repair and/or homologous recombination. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
