Anti-Akt3 (RAC-PK Gamma)

Akt3 (v-akt murine thymoma viral oncogene homolog 3), also known as protein kinase B gamma (PKBgamma) and RAC-gamma serine/threonine kinase (RAC-PK-gamma), is a member of the Akt family that also includes Akt1 (PKB alpha) and Akt2 (PKB beta). These highly homologous , kinases are central in such diverse cellular processes as glucose uptake, cell cycle progression, and apoptosis. All three Akts contain an amino-terminal pleckstrin homology domain, a central kinase domain, and a carboxyl-terminal regulatory domain. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
